The Whirlpool ACQ128GPW Energy Star 12,000 BTU 115V Window-Mounted Air Conditioner is an affordable and eco-friendly unit designed to cool rooms up to 550 square feet. It has electronic controls with LCD display and four operating modes (cooling, dry, fan and power saver). Choose from 3 cooling speeds (high, mid or low) plus auto, 1 dry speed (low) and 3 fan speeds (high, mid or low) for maximum versatility. With power saver mode, the fan will run at low speed when compressor cycles off and then return to the set speed once compressor cycles back on. Additional options include Rapid Cool, 6th Sense and Sleep. Rapid Cool automatically sets the fan speed to high and the temperature to 64°F (18ºC) for fast cooling. The 6th Sense option automatically selects either Cooling or Dry mode depending on the room temperature and sets the temperature to 79ºF (26ºC). Plus, the Sleep option automatically sets the fan speed to low and slowly increases the room temperature as you sleep.
